Make your renders shine

Skies set the mood and connotation of many of your 3D scenes.

And many times they will be the main light source and background of your render.

Choosing a good quality HDRI is an important step to the determine the final render output.

This is why we decided to carefully create this pack to give you a wide variety of skies that will give you the freedom to play with different lighting conditions, while ensuring quality, consistency, efficiency, and ease of use.

Lots of different moods

Different lighting conditions like Cloudy, overcast, sunny, partially clouded

And different times too Midday, sunset, sunrise, morning, afternoon and night

The previews were shot at the same Exposure to better compare the lighting.

Pure skies

You will see the pure sky without any obstacle on the horizon.

No mountains, trees, or buildings will be at sight.

And, by default, the horizon line is slightly under the “3D universe horizon line” to ensure that the dome will always cover the hemisphere.

Full sky domes.

Variety

We decided to create a sky HDRI pack with a wide variety of different lighting moods to give you lots of creative freedom when choosing the right HDRI for your 3D scene.

Real skies

These HDRIs are not CGI representations. We took photos of real skies to create this pack.

You will find the beautiful randomness of nature in each one!

Accurate Lighting

Our HDRIs have been retouched to display a correct sun intensity. This will ensure that the amount of light and shadows are correct.

This means that there will be sharp shadows when they should, and you will not have to worry about correcting or adding auxiliary light emitters.

Calibrated

Each HDRI was adjusted to match the same lighting condition than reality.

In simple words, night HDRIs will look darker than sunny days HDRIs at the same exposure.

This ensures a realistic lighting condition, and you will need to adjust the shutter speed of the camera (or EVs) just as you would need to do in the real world.

The glare in the render is added on purpose as an effect. Check below

Carefully edited

The HDRIs will just work fine out of the box.

We edited them to ensure that there are the least amount of artifacts as possible.

  • No sun flares.

  • No dust particles.

  • No birds (or UFOs?).

  • No chromatic aberration.

  • No bad stitching.

Consistency

For ease of use, you will find that each of them has the sun centered. This makes finding the right HDRI a much easier task when iterating.

14k and 2k versions

While the high resolution ones (14k px) are great for final renders (as they have lots of detail), the low resolution ones will let you iterate more easily when choosing the right HDRI for your scene because they are much faster to load.

Blender Assets ready

That is great! Because this pack also contains an Asset library version of the HDRIs.

You will just need to drag and drop them, and you will have very handy controllers to tweak the HDRIs most "commonly adjusted" properties.
